Any group can host an event. Members RSVP, see who else is going, and get a reminder from the group. Because the event belongs to a community you already know, you are not walking into a room of strangers.
A live audio lobby is an event with no venue. Raise your hand to speak and the host brings you on stage. An in-person event carries a place and a time, and nothing more than the host chooses to share.
Private group events stay private. Public group events are visible to people browsing that community. Nothing is broadcast to the open internet or to people you have not chosen.
The same tools apply: block, report, and human moderation. Hosts can see who RSVPed and can remove anyone from the group if they need to.
